I can't seem to use |Shift| + |Ctrl| + |*| to expand all threads in a list of messages. TB's Help says it should work, but it doesn't. Am I missing something? Compressing folders
Hi list! I'm just curious of which method of compression is used in The Bat! when you check the compress folder in folder properties. Is it a huge spacesaver and does it have a negative impact when using the program? I currently use The Bat on a 400Mhz IBM Thinkpad 600E. When one is leaving, the row doesn't get shorter (unless its the first or last, I hear you... *g*). You could think of TB's message database (for each folder) of such a row. When a message is deleted, it leaves the row, but the messagebase doesn't get smaller. (in fact, a deleted message is only removed from view, and not from the database - you can restore them, too). Only when you compress a folder, the deleted messages are removed from the mail database - and the gaps they're leaving are closed. The database file is re-arranged so that the size after compression is only smaller because there are no more holes in it. PS: forgive me, I can't resist... is that really your true name? Showing All Addressees in Header Display Area
When I receive an email that has been CC'ed to a lot of people, only the first few that fit in the header display area are visibile. The rest follow the '...' ellipses. And individual recipients are also a bit difficult to find. I've always just hit CTRL+SHIFT+K to show the full RFC 822 headers. Just wandering if there is another way so I can always see all the recipients if they are in the CC field. If someone has the bug report handy, I will add a bugnote. My suggestion is to make it Netscape-style, so that the multiple recipients are shown in a box field.
