Bayesit and build 30?

2005-07-08 Thread Barry
Hi

I just downloaded build 30 from the Ritlabs web site and installed over my
copy of build 25 and Bayesit 0.8.1

For some reason the installer removed my copy of Bayesit but didn't replace
it. I tried installing a downloaded copy of Bayesit but its only 0.8.0 and
when I tried running the combination TB would crash when I was trying to
set up the Bayesit plug in.

I reverted to build 25 and everything is back to normal.

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar problems with build
30?

It's a known bug in the .msi which wrapped .30. We've been testing
RL's fix on TBBETA--as v. 3.51--and when it's certain that no new bug
crept in while putting the Bayesit function back, Maxim has said that
v. 3.51 will be placed on the public download page.

It wasn't a problem here for any of the versions I tried in that
sequence, but that seems to be the way with these sorts of things.
Sorry I don't have a better answer for you other than to try either:

1.) running through one or more of the intervening updates and
see if there is something that needed to be 'tweeked' between
25 and 30 to make it work right.

2.) try one of the later builds to see if it was just a quirk

- Set the account to store the attachments separately
- Export all mails from a folder to a Unix mailbox format file
- Delete the mails from that folder
- Import back the mails from the file to this directory

repeat it for all folders, set the mail unread

If you are lazy :), then just move the mails to an other folder
outside of the account, Set the account to store the attachments

Hello Allie (and original questioner),

I often see Allie talking about problems using a server side Outbox. I
assume this is not a problem for Sentmail and Trash.
AM No. Those others work fine server side.

Could you write me in private, Allie, what is the problem with the
Outbox? It seems, that we will solve the counter/auto
connect/disconnect problem soon (see my todays mail to TBBETA), so
then I will check this Outbox problem out in details.

Yes I see that it would be useful, however, I don't think the Trash
part is working correctly. It does not seem to delete as expected. The
mail only seems to get marked for deletion and not deleted unless you
specifically compress the folder. I think this is one of Tony's
 complaints.

It compress just fine if you have a continuous connection (dont use
Auto disconnect after x time (Properties, Mail management) yet, we
are working to fix that part, I think we are pretty close) and set
Compress when changing folders at Account, Properties, IMAP fine
tune.

Also, when Managing folders (right click on the account name) set the
Synchronization ON for all or your subscribed folders (I would suggest
to set Subscribe and Synchronize for your IMAP server side Inbox,
Outbox, Sent, Trash folders).

This way for me, compressing seems to work fine.

Mulberry (Tony's favorite) delete the mail immediately, that is why
TB! is different for Tony...
