K9 question
Hi Bat! Fans, Apologies if off topic. Using K9 on my laptop at home, and the IBM box at work, to filter spam from Bat! Starts immediately on the IBM box; on the laptop takes at lease one minute (icon varies between K9 ! in yellow triangle. Takes 100% of resources. I have trimmed the storage files etc., to no avail. Nothing in the FAQ re this particular problem in their web site; any clues at all? Global Column Edit
I have found that I do not want the flag column any more and want to globally remove it from all mail boxes (30 accounts, 5+ boxes per) and don't want to do this one at a time. Is there a way to zap that column from all the accounts in 1 swoop??? -- Scott Windows 2000 The Bat 3.5.30 Popfile Spam Filter http://popfile.sourceforge.net/ Current version is 3.5.30 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Scott everyone else, on 24-Jul-2005 at 08:23 you (Scott) wrote: Is there a way to zap that column from all the accounts in 1 swoop??? Depends on whether you're using different viewmodes. If all your folders use (no view mode) you can click on setup columns and remove the columns from there. This setting will apply to all folders that don't use a specific viewmodes. If you're using different viewmodes, you'll have to adapt each of them (which is still a lot easier than going thru each every folder). -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) I believe that a solar eclipse is a beautiful and rare experience, while an eclipse of the moon is a cheap and common spectacle. -- Steve Martin, while on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson Current version is 3.5.30 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

automagically attaching 2 files to an email
Hello listbuds, I have a Q for all you wizzies out there!! Every day I send an email out with 2 attachments (always named the same thing). I would like to automatically attach those files and address the item... but I would like to have a chance to put a personal note in the message before sending. if the files are always in the same spot and named the same, is it possible? If so can you HELP me figure how? You're amazing! -- Best regards, Laura mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 3.5.30 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: automagically attaching 2 files to an email
Hello Laura everyone else, on 24-Jul-2005 at 20:08 you ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) wrote: I have a Q for all you wizzies out there!! My general advice is: look into TB's template system, and learn about the macros. Press F1 to open TB's help, select the index search for macros. Have a look at the full alphabetic list of macros. With templates and macros, you can do exactly what you need. It depends on your setup how you can best achieve this. HELP me figure how? You could create an address book group template, putting all recipients (if its multiple recipients) of the two files message into that group. Or you could set up a quick template and include it manually to a message whereever you need it. The important thing is that you can use macros to attach files. The macro to attach a file automatically is: %ATTACHFILE=filepath You can of course use multiple instances of the macro. If you put this: %ATTACHFILE=c:\attach\file1.jpg %ATTACHFILE=c:\attach\file2.jpg into a Quick Template and name it, lets say 2files, you can type 2files (minus the quotation marks) into the message and press CTRL+Spacebar to insert the Quick Template into your message. No text will be added to your message of course, but the two files will be attached, and you can freely create the message content as you wish. You're amazing! I know. :-) PS: another little suggestion: add a realname to your setup. Its much nicer if we can address you with your beautiful name rather than with a long and/or cryptic email address. ;-) -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) For whatever a man may do, he does it in order to annihilate time, in order to revoke it, and that revocation is called space. -- Hermann Broch Current version is 3.5.30 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Threads not updated in real-time?
I have a filter set to place replies to certain messages in the same folder as the parent message (the one to which I am replying). However, I have noticed that if I remain in the same folder and queue the message in the Outbox and then send the message or send the message immediately, when the outgoing filter places the message in the folder, it does not thread properly; I have to navigate to a different folder and back again (pressing ESC also fixes the problem). Has anyone else noticed this? BTW, I thread by references and sort by descending created time (newest on top). -- Chris Quoting when replying to this message is good for your karma.
