Just in case, it was a joke, not about a real meanness (but if I discover...). I couldn't agree though that it's a matter of taste, even of a bad one, but rather a matter of orthography. Even your original, not quoted, text in many of your messages is lacking separation of paragraphs (no empty lines between nor a tabs -- look also at your Now you've... and I'm CC... here near to the bottom of the message). It's hard to read and sorely resembles the orthography manners of Outlook-ers. It also happens when one quotes a HTML message to a plain text reply, when the text is losing the empty lines between paragraphs giving thus the very same effect discussed here. Being that they still mangle something with this TB's HTML editor, I supposed that it might be possible reason, hence my question. Re[2]: what's the cheapest way to get a TB license?
Hello Thomas, TF AFAIR the upgrade from that magazine version (v1.x) to the current TF version was half price. I don't know whether that's still the case. There is a 30% discount now. JBL I thought that the TB licence allowed it to be installed on a JBL laptop as well as a desktop machine as long as you were not JBL using both at the same time. I cannot find the original license JBL text to verify this, however. JBL I need to installed the updated v3.51 on my wife's laptop (separate JBL license) later, so I will see what the license agreement says. TF Let us know. Everybody can read the license.txt in his/her TB! workdir... -- Vili Current version is 3.51.10 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Re: [TBBETA] TB creates faulty ISO encoding in header lines
Alexander S. Kunz: I don't know if this has already been reported, here's a very nasty bug that I accidentally stumbled across while finding out why certain email messages wouldn't be delivered by the Exchange server of one of our customers. I can report a similar problem: When receiving and auto-redirecting mails, some of the senders (From:) are seriously crapped up: BEFORE: From: Surname, Firstname [EMAIL PROTECTED] AFTER: From: [EMAIL PROTECTED], Firstname [EMAIL PROTECTED] I think that behaviour and problem is very similar to the one you are reporting. It has been like this since early version 2. Nice! :/ -- St Current version is 3.51.10 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Force Quick Template to override address book template?
Is there a setting or macro that will force a Quick Template to override an address book template? For example, I have an address book template for general messages to my assistant (a simple greeting, informal signature, etc.). I also have a Quick Template, available for use in new messages, with a substantial amount of standard text providing instructions for setting up new files (i.e., when I need a new physical file created and indexed, I send a message with this template, filling in a few blanks identifying the client, type of litigation, index keywords, and the like). The problem is, the address book template overrides the Quick Template. When I click in the editor, the new file template text disappears, leaving only the informal greeting/signature. I know that one simple workaround is to include a %CLEAR macro in the quick template and insert it in the editor using the handle and Ctrl+space, but I hate workarounds. If there's a macro that will take care of this, I'd love to find it.
