TB erroneously checks mail at startup
Batfolk, I have all of my accounts set to NOT check mail at startup, and yet on about 50% of the times I start TB, all accounts check. This started with version 3.85, when I set ONE account to check at startup, and yet about 50% of the time, all of them checked. So I turned check mail at startup off, however the problem still occurs. Upgrading to 3.95 has made no difference. Does anyone else experience this? Do you have TB! set to check accounts automatically at intervals? I used to have no check on start up, followed by check at 15min; and 15min after start up my accounts would then be checked automatically. After a recent upgrade this changed so that even with check on startup off TB! would still check accounts on startup if a check interval was set. So I turned them all off and check when I remember! ;) HTH Barry Current version is 3.85.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Well, that's similar, except that mine doesn't ALWAYS check on startup. I thought that it was me at first because one could argue that if an interval was set then the account should be checked automatically on startup and thereafter at the interval specified. For me I expected the first check to be carried out after the first interval. Then if I wanted a check on startup I could ask for that. What do you think? Barry. That was the behaviour I saw with TB prior to 3.85 and half the time since then. It shouldn't check at startup unless you have the box that says check mailbox at start-up selected on the options page. My experience is that this bug appeared first in 3.85. However, I asked about this once before and it didn't seem to be happening to anyone else. It is becoming an annoying problem, not major, but annoying, and so I wanted to see if anyone else had yet come across it and whether someone knew how to fix it. So it happens to at least two of us, but am I right in thinking it happens all the time for you if you have periodical checking enabled? -- Robin Using The Bat! v3.95.3 Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Popfile v0.22.4 Current version is 3.85.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
