Here the error message says Invalid RFA type.

In the first URL, there is participant in the first part, which ends
with a . I can imagine that there should have been a at the

one that TB! uses. YOu copies this manually from an HTML mail?

Re: is v.4.2.42 truncated urls in the body?

2011-04-02 Thread CDIsxm
Hello Thomas and everyone else who tried to assist.

The link is invalid because it has now expired. The platform developer blames
TB and TB has not been able to solve it or acknowledge there is even a problem.
So on it goes ad infinitum.

The fact that the problem is not present when I read the link as a plain text
webmail, proves that the link is not tampered with until it is received by TB.

The AV does alter it.

Using the unique matematical entity of part; does not help things either.

I set the character set translatioon to UTF-8 only and in plain text view mode.

What else can I do except start getting email for this operation only on
webmail and then manually downloading it after the link is used?

Michael

Sorry to hear the platform provider's opinion. In fact, I never heard
about this problem before and it does not seem to point to TB! for me.
And I am very vocal about any shortcomings I perceive with TheBat!,
you should see my postings on the beta list g.

Alas, what can we do.

Sorry IMHO they are wrong.

The URL is incorrect as it does not conform to RFC 1738. The two characters
that are not encoded but should be are [/] and [@]. They are reserved
characters and are being used out of there 'reserved character' context.

Further to that, TB is one of the few email clients that can be 100%
trusted (in plain text view) not to change anything in the message
body. If there is tampering with the URL, it is being down by a
routing MTA (transit mail server) or by an anti-virus message
scourer. TB has faults, but this is not one of them.
