I did not find where to change the size, yet.

Does a larger log size cause a slowdown?

Account - Properties - Options - Maximum account log size

Not that I'm aware of, but I changed the maximum log size about ten
 years ago, so I can't compare. ;-)

RO TB does need a fixed path to the backup location, can't be helped.

I find all of this rather confusing:

This is what is in the configuration: Create an update to an existing archive
  H:\TB-BU\TBBU.tbk

The BU ran today but stopped saying it couldn't find
  I:\TB-BU\TBBU.tbk

H is an external USB drive. I does not exist (sometimes there's a

that gets that Drive-Letter, but none was connected today.

While the BU's are planned on a weekly basis and it ran today, that should
suggest the latest BU
would have dated from Wed, March 13. To make all this even more confusing I
found a Back-Up made
yesterday in: F:\TB-BU\TBBU.tbk

F is a internal HD.

Beats me! :-)

Thanks! I was looking for a global settings, that's probably why I couldn't
find it.

Sounds familiar. TB sometimes sees my external USB flash-drive,
sometimes it says that it can't find it. No matter if I use USB 2.0 or
3.0 and using a direct connection or through my USB-hub.
I've experienced too similar problems when using my NAS over LAN
for this.
Strange enough.. doing manually a BU it works all the time. :-)
