I did think of that, and actually, that was why I upgraded - in hope of fixing the filtering stuff. And now this ... but maybe three times lucky, eh? lol! Again, worth a try, though. Thanks, I'll give it a shot tomorrow and get back to you. I do appreciate the input! The Bat! Version 6.0.0
Hi I just noticed on the RITlabs website that The Bat! version 6.0.0 was released today. Has anybody tried it yet? (They used to send me a bulk mailing with news updates like this, but looking in the relevant folder, I see the last one I received was "[Ritlabs-news] Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" in December 2011.) -- Best regards MFPAmailto:expires2...@ymail.com During an eruption - move away from the volcano - not towards it Using The Bat! v4.0.38 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 3 Current version is 5.2.2 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Best to back up the registry before making any changes. Keep children and animals away from the keyboard. *** If you are comfortable editing your Windows Registry, close TB! and open Regedit (or any other registry editor). Search for "Panel layout" (without quote marks). In my case, the only match found was under HKEY_USERS\S-[long number]\Software\RIT\The Bat! I renamed it to "Panel Layout Old" (so that I could reinstate it afterwards) and then re-started The Bat!, which opened with the panes at the default sizes and generated a replacement "Panel layout" entry in the registry. -- Best regards MFPAmailto:expires2...@ymail.com Greater than being great is being grateful. Well I'm completely at a loss to explain that! But, I guess if you still have access to WINDOW SPLIT MODE that's all that counted for me. I Googled "retrieving lost windows" because I remembered there was a way to do it but I couldn't remember how. The following link has the hits for what I Googled: https://www.google.com/search?q=how+do+i+retrieve+a+window+from+off+screen&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=fflb Granted, most of these solutions pertain to Windows itself but they may be helpful in getting back your errant pane. As to the rest of your aggravations, and perhaps even the above, the only thing I can offer is to simply re-install TB! I have been told numerous times on this list that you can do that without un-installing first. Just re-install it over the existing copy. But as with all operations like this, I'd probably make a TB! backup first. -- Best Regards, Jack LaRosa :usflag: Central Alabama Using The Bat! ver: 5.2.
