Is there a way to automatically delete spam messages from a POP3
server once they have been moved to the Junk mail folder by an
antispam plug-in? I like to keep good: mail on the server for two
weeks as an additional backup.

base onto that computer, would it simply be a matter of copying the
relevant recovered data files over to it and then doing a synchronise?

WINMAIL.DAT files is a utility called WMPARSER. You can do a search on
Google for it. Some of the links it turns up don't go anywhere, so you
might have to try.

Anyhow,I thought I'd let you know I did it the brute force way (added
all the original files into a Zip archive, then copied the files over
from Text Pad and I can now customise or customize to my heart's
content without the red squiggle ;-)

installed it in a new folder - same result. I did the same with V2 and got almost
identical results, the only difference was that this time it offered to tell Microsoft
about it!

on the FAQ to get round that.
Alternatively, you could stop inflicting the list with unnecessary PGP
