freezes and I have to re-boot with CTRL-ALT-DEL.
Needless to say, I'm done testing the new IMAP features until I hear
this has been fixed.

I can't offer a specific
diagnosis of what causes it, but the problem certainly isn't unique to
Christopher. I hope the developers are aware of this.

TF Please elaborate. Simply put, I thought that what I access with NNTP

I'm not sure what the exact definition of Usenet is, but I think the
difference

I'll delete/re-create the
account and see how it goes. I can't bear the idea of going back to POP3
for that account (I check my e-mail at several different computers and
occasionally on my cell-phone), so hopefully I won't have to give up on TB!

I haven't tried Norton, but Popfile runs completely locally. It does
act as a proxy, but the proxy resides on your local machine. You
wouldn't notice any slowdowns due to connection speeds.

assume that Bayesit doesn't work on IMAP connections. But maybe the
problem lies elsewhere.

Is the new version of Bayesit (bundled with TB3.0) supposed to work

Hi all - I just accidentally deleted all the messages (several
thousand) in one of my IMAP folders. I haven't purged/compressed or
done anything else since then -- is there a quick way I can get them
back without having to restore from a backup?

Thanks Clive, that looks like a very handy program!
