PW for v2alpha4?
I downloaded the version 2 alpha 4 release of TB!, but was dismayed to see that it's password protected. Assuming RitLabs doesn't mind (safe assumption?), can someone post the password? Or perhaps they're keeping the test group closed, in which case forget I asked. -- Charlie mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 1.62r | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Marek, O.K., no prob. Hey, you guys shouldn't tempt us like that! It's like putting a nice piece of chocolate cake on the top shelf where it can't be reached! Yours impatiently, C.L. Anyone use server Communigate Pro w/ TLS-SSL?
Does anyone out there connect via TLS-SSL to a server running Communigate Pro? I can't get The Bat! (any version) to connect. Log says Invalid protocol version. My sysadmin says that there may be incompatibility with our server software. Any helpful comments would be appreciated! Thanks. Urgent needed info: What version of TLS does TB! use?
What version of SSL/TLS does The Bat 1.63b7 use? My SSL email server uses TLS version 1.0, Key Exchange Algorithm RSA (1024bit), Encryption Algorithm RC4 (128bit), Integrity Check Algorithm SHA. Is there an obvious reason why TB! would consistenly report invalid protocol version when I attempt to establish an SSL connection (both POP3 using port 995 and SMTP using port 465)? Thank you very much. Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Roelof, Thursday, February 27, 2003, 3:38:12 PM, you wrote: RO Since this is obviously a beta issue, you'd better take this to RO tbbeta. On that list the developers are present too and they're most RO likely to know this. Thanks for the info. Actually, while I'm using a beta, I know that the behavior of the release version is the same. So my question stands, but with reference to any of the current release or beta verisons of The Bat! Hello Thomas, Thursday, February 27, 2003, 4:42:26 PM, you wrote: TF I have read the same about the release version, but would still TF recommend that you post your question on the beta list. TBUDL is a TF list where users help each others, TBBETA is the list on which also TF the developers actively participate - and TB is being actively TF developed, so bringing this issue up over there might lead to faster TF fixing of this issue. I hope. ;-) O.K., thanks. I'm persuaded. I've just sent a subscription request. I appreciate the explanation. -- Best regards, Charliemailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Current version is 1.62 | Using TBUDL information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
Invalid SSL protocol
I've been trying for several day to get The Bat! to connect to my e-mail server, which requires an SSL connection to ports 995 (POP3) and 465 (SMTP). Each time I get this log report: 2/26/2003, 14:07:14: FETCH - receiving mail messages 2/26/2003, 14:07:18: FETCH - Initiating TLS handshake !2/26/2003, 14:07:19: FETCH - TLS protocol error: Invalid protocol version. 2/26/2003, 14:07:19: FETCH - connection finished - 0 messages received I've tried verifying the certificate for my server. I'm using the same settings that work well in Outlook and Eudora. Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I've worked earlier with stunnel, and I'd rather not go that route. Thanks!
