Re[2]: 5.0.12 corrupts saved drafts
Create an HTML email (with images and various text styles). Save it. Close it. Open it. What you see is garbage, though the underlying message still is okay if you print it. Just checked 5.0.12. Same corruption. The drafts in the Outbox that existed from an earlier version turned to garbage (HTML with images and various font stylings). Software testing requires testing various scenarios Dwight. If you have no idea of what I did, then your literacy skills are in question. I'm reporting a warning of a consistent problem. I'm not expecting the people on this mailing list to fix it. Re[2]: anti-virus/firewall/etc - Vipre; MAXA cookie manager
Hi: I did a considerable amount of research before coming across Vipre, which is relatively new in the market. http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/ Vipre includes anti-malware/spyware (email protection, file protection) and a firewall, as well as some other tools. A review: http://www.pcantivirusreviews.com/reviews/vipre_antivirus_software.html . That site is a fairly good review site. I've been quite pleased with Vipre, having tried various programs through the years, including Comodo, Webroot, and Fix-it/System Suite (Avanquest). Another, related topic, is getting rid of cookies tracking you web activities. The best program I've found is MAXA cookie manager. http://www.maxa-tools.com/ The interface is gaudy, but the program does the job, and the interface is easy to work with. Another obscure find. I used to run ZoneAlarm for a firewall and free AVG for an anti-virus but since I built this computer I was never able to get ZoneAlarm to work properly. In looking around for a replacement for ZoneAlarm I stumbled across Comodo. Since it has an anti-virus built-in, I never installed free AVG. I don't really like Comodo, it's too intrusive although that probably could be tempered if I took the time to learn how to configure it properly. template macros plugins?
Hi: A new Bat! user, still learning. I've been told by technical support that the %Quotes macro, which creates a thick blue line for replies, cannot be edited. I'd like something that looks nicer. So I'm wondering what the status is for macro plugins for The Bat!, and how well they work. What is recommended to try to create more aesthetic templates, or other useful macros to enliven The Bat!?
