Two things:

1. Screenshots are (apparently) stripped from the messages posted to
this list.

2. Somewhat desirable behaviour can be achieved by disabling tabs
altogether. Then, clearing "Quick Search" returns view to the message
list and temporarily created tabs survive only until TheBat is restarted.

Menu --> Workspace --> Untick "Show message list tabs".

Automatically close tabs upon clearing "quick search" field

2019-10-20 Thread Andrew Savchenko
Hello All,

Every time I search for something using a "Quick Search" toolbar,
small tab with the results appears underneath the message list.

Those tabs are not deleted automatically and stay there as a useless
reminder of past attempts to find something. Worse, entering new text
in the "Quick Search" creates a search-within-a-search scenario.
Similar to "cat blah | grep something | grep whatever" in a shell.

Questions:
* Is anyone aware of a way to disable automatic tabs creation?
* ...or maybe there is a way to close them all automatically?
* ...or (as the last resort) create a hotkey that nukes them all?

Checked the settings, not much in there. Screenshot attached.
