Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I have tried this and it doesn't
seem to help.

If I set the Ticker to be on Always in the settings,I can see it.
It's just automatically does not work as the MailTicker does not
open when I have new mail (even though the Inbox folder is set to
Show unread messages on MailTicker

Any ideas?

It sounds more like a problem with the display criteria for the
ticker. If you right-click on it (you will need to set it to display
Always first, you will see a menu item for Messages. Go to that, and
check that it should be displaying all message types, and make sure
that the time limits are not set so short that the Ticker never
appears.

Cheers! That was it - I had unticked all the different priorities
under messages but now its working fine.

Thanks again!

Mail Ticker Not Working

2002-06-14 Thread Ben Kennish

Hi All,

I had previously disabled the Mail Ticker but now can't get it to
work properly. I have set Display MailTicker to Automatically but
mail that is coming into my Inbox is not causing the mail ticker to be
displayed (even though the inbox does have Show unread messages on
MailTicker selected)

Hmmm :S

Probably you placed the ticker outside of your desktop. This can be
fixed in your registry:
Close TB,
Start Regedit,
Go to HKEY_CurrentUser-Software-RIT-The Bat-Ticker
Here you see several keys, among others there are keys called 'Left'
and 'Top', set both of them to zero,
Close Regedit,
Start TB,
The ticker will be displayed at the left top of your screen, you can
drag it everywhere you want to.

Good hunting
