DG Is there something I must do to enable replies to the ReplyTo address?
Since I jumped in the previous time, I thought I'd also do so now.
;-)
Thank you Roelof. Your interference is, and was, is much appreciated.
Both times, really.
I can't find any switches to disable the usage of the Reply-To
header for TB's replies. That's why I thought you'd might have been
playing with your reply-template.
Yes, I had been playing with the templates, just as you suspected.
However, there is a switch that enables/disables the use of the
name-part of the original from-address. That might look like TB not
using the reply-to, where it tries to be smart about the name-part.
This struck a chord with me. I began to consider that the problem
might be mine, rather than TheBat!'s, just as you said. After some
experimentation on the reply template of a test folder (which i
created for this purpose), I discovered that TheBat!'s original reply
template does work correctly. Then I replaced each of my accounts'
reply templates with a copy of the original reply template, and I
fixed only what really had to be fixed.
When replying to this message it should get send to the list,
[EMAIL PROTECTED] TB will address it to Roelof Otten
[EMAIL PROTECTED], but not to Roelof Otten [EMAIL PROTECTED]
(the address in the from-header)
Thanks Roelf. Now everything works as it should work. (I'd like to
blame my problems on encroaching old age, but I don't want to tempt
fate, so I'll just chalk it up to experience. g) I guess I owe
theBat! Team an apology. Thanks again.
