date on msg saved to windows folder
Hi, All, I occasionally copy inbox messages to client folders in Windows Explorer. However, the file date for the message (as shown in Windows Explorer, not within the message itself) then appears as the date that the message was saved to the folder, rather than the actual message date. Without changing the time and date on the computer clock, which I do not want to do, is it possible to copy a message into a folder such that the file name reflects the date and time that the message was created? If so, how can it be done? -- Avi Avram Sacks Using The Bat ver 6.0.0.28 on Win 7 Pro Current version is 6.1.8 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

That is the date the file was created. The file system doesn't know the message date; that is just part of the text in the file. You could always manually alter the filename after creating the file. -- Best regards MFPAmailto:2014-667rhzu3dc-lists-gro...@riseup.net An obstinate man does not hold opinions. They hold him.
