GC The message at the bottom of TB window say: connection finished. Could
GC not connect to server. I am not sure if web2pop is running I cannot
GC see any sign of where it has installed on my computer or in TB.

of course you would get that error if web2pop isn't running. It isn't
installed in TB it is a program that is installed on your computer.
if you do a CTRL-ALT-DEL and bring up the task manager, under processes
you should have web2pop.exe running. If not, go to that installed
web2pop folder and run it. It should be a little globe with an envelope
in front of it in your system tray.

There is a better programm than web2pop. It is called Izymail. With
that one you can receive and _send_ emails to hotmail via the pop
funcion in Thebat. Little programm that runs in the backround like
web2pop.

Send?
Through Hotmail or Yahoo?

I can only get it to send from my providers smtp address,
just as with Web2Pop.

What am I missing?

Both

Here it works fin the sending. If you configure you have to chose in
the server localhost in your email client for smtp server with port
25. For receiving also localhost and port 1101 and also in IzyMail.

You have the option to kill duplicates. Folder Kill all
dupes in all folders (or something like that) :)

IMHO, Hotmail is spam infested and I wouldn't lock my life
away to them in regards to e-mail. Try finding a less
popular free POP 3 provider like hot pop.

http://www.hotpop.com or net I think :)

in TB, select the hotmail account folder, right-click and do properties.
the RECEIVE MAIL should have your server as web2pop, username should be
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

then try F2 when the focus is on the hotmail account folder. Down at the
bottom of the TB windows you should see a line that has :
connection finished , X messages received.
if it has an error, then... tell me what it says.

make sure web2pop is running of course, and it has the hotmail module
loaded.
