Connection window locking up STILL

2005-09-02 Thread admin
Two releases later and a bug that forces me to quit TB using CTRL-ALT-DEL is
STILL there!

I have tried the export Registry key and Import regsitry key option but that
doesn't cure
it.

What is being done about this?

Is this happening to you when TB (v2.12) hangs during email downloading?

THAT is what has been happening to me and, although I have not been
able to fix it, I have lessened the number of times it occurs.

This list was never able to help me on this issue either... No
reflection on the list membership, it is just something that, if 1) it
is not happening to them with 2) a like version that they are working
with then they will not see what we see.

I use 2.12.00 too and it happens to me also, although not very often.
The way how I get rid of it I just have explained on this list, in the
thread starting with mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED]. I do not use
any antispam helper but only TB's Selective Download filters for this
purpose, receiving/downloading thus 0% of spam, so those antispam
contraptions shouldn't be an issue for this buggy behavior.

Are you sure you are doing all correctly?

1) You export the Registry key _only_ when you are sure that TB works OK
(that is immediately after a successful work/session with Connection
Center.

2) You import this key when TB becomes nasty: you close TB, delete the
old Bad key, import the Good one, and fire up TB again.

What is being done about this?

Eh...if I'd have a time to wait for them to fix something in TB. (-;

I just pray not to see another useless addition instead... g This one
with TB skin was just eek! As if an old paraplegic trollop got a piece
of make-up to play a trifle with. Oops! Ouch! g

Maybe this with CCenter, judging by its longevity, is not a bug but a
feature? g

Ah ha... **DELETE** the old key - I thought it would just overwrite!

Bu that means a regedit operation everytime!!!

What a pain.

OK I'll try it over the weekend.

Have a good one.

Oh yeah - maybe they're sponsored by telecoms companies to hang on to the line
to run up
the bills more!
