The ability to access Hotmail from OE is just a M$ thing. Even full
blown Outlook doesn't have the ability.
IMHO, I would recommend moving away from Hotmail as it seems to be a
honeypot for spammers. Why not try something such as operamail. This
still gives you web access and the ability to access it via either
IMAP or POP.
You can also do what I do, which is to use a bigfoot account to mask
what your real email address is.

because I forgot to unsubscribe before going on holiday/vacation !)
