A bit perplexed here ... .gif attachments not being displayed within received HTML emails.

Hi Folks, I had not noticed this until recently ... .gif attachments do not show up within the body of received HTML email messages, but .jpg's do without any problem. .gif attachments do show up in side pane though. However, when I click on them to be displayed, while a display window is opened

I'm trying to filter all emails containing HTML into a spam folder but the rule I'm using doesn't work. It appears that if the email has a Content-Type: text/html in the headers it works but if it has a Content-Type: multipart/alternative in the headers and the Content-Type: text/html is in the me
