JN Type is easier to read
JN quickly, and it's easier to read aloud if necessary, when 
JN sentences are subtly separated by that extra space.

But any book, novel or otherwise with a proportional font has only one space.

 Proportional font is the key. Not everyone uses proportional fonts

Well I did actually say exactly that in my first contribution to this

In generations gone by the standard was three spaces after a full stop and
two after a comma but just one space seems to be the norm these days.
