Just checked and it is still offered.

They suggest you use SSL, ports 995(POP) and 465(SMTP) but that
does not work here - regular and  ports 25 and 110 works.

Yahoo is globally offering pop and SMTP only to paid users. If you pay you MUST 
be able to send mail from their SMTP unless your ISP blocks the concerned port.
