After further testing, I conclude that I can send email to Yahoo email addresses with Pegasus Mail with no problem but no so with Outlook Express or The Bat. If I send email using The Bat, then the sending process as shown in the Connection Center always hangs 5 bytes before the message total size. I tested this by sending emails using Pegasus Mail and Outlook Express and within a minute or so, with The Bat. Messages sent with The Bat were returned to me from my ISP's mailer daemon a few hours later as follows (text edited by me): ********************************************** ** THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY ** ** YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE ** ********************************************** The original message was received at Tue, 25 Dec 2001 21:44:06 +0200 (EET) from [my ISP,s address] [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] ----- Transcript of session follows ----- 451 4.4.1 reply: read error from mx4.mail.yahoo.com. ... while talking to mx4.mail.yahoo.com.: >>> DATA <<< 451 Timeout <my [EMAIL PROTECTED]>...
