Hail Dave,

On 12 May 2001 at 13:17:26 +0100 (which was 13:17 where I live) Dave Wilson wrote and
made these points

DE>> So if you send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] it is wrong.

DE>> What happens if you type [EMAIL PROTECTED] is that wrong ?

> Unfortunately neither go to my work address, but the other Dave.

This that there are a number of thing and all that it is out of your
control.

(1) The work SMTP server is not case sensitive (as it should be)

(2) The [EMAIL PROTECTED] is not your email address, as this is the
bit that the SMTP server should be looking at to route the email.

(3) I can not understand how any mail routed to you at work can get to you
if it had been routed to "Wilson, Dave I (Dept)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
it must be looking at the info from "Wilson, Dave I (Dept)" and not
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> , which is where it should be looking.

I (personally) don't know of an SMTP server that does that(, and I have use
a few).

Has any one got any other ideas.
