Where it says "[snip]" that is text of your own choosing, it can be
anything though the idea is that it would be some indication to the
reader that something was cut out of the original message there, so
you can have just three dots if you prefer. (As you see, I have in
mine "... <snip> ...", but it can be anything)

With regard to the "%CURSOR", it was established that that does not
work well in the current implementation of the bat (it was placed there to put an
extra blank line after the snip indicator) so as others wrote it is
best just to leave that command out and manually adjust the line feeds
yourself
