Am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious that when cell phones
receive text messages they beep S-M-S in Morse code? Does anyone even
know Morse code anymore? I was on a train the first time this happened
and I couldn't stop laughing.

Hello Mark,

Am I the only one who thinks it's hilarious that when cell phones
receive text messages they beep S-M-S in Morse code?

I can select which sound to play from a range of many. And I don't know
the default was S-M-S in Morse code.

Does anyone even know Morse code anymore?

It has been many many years since I used it in the late 60's and I have
completely forgot.

Not many American Ham Radio operators, that's for sure g. But if you
enjoy it like me it's kind of neat and you can always find Russians
and East Europeans to talk to.

Thanks Lukasz - and sorry for going off-topic (and it *is* funny to
hear it used on a digital phone).
