If you want to do it manually, hold down Alt, and you can drag the folders
around.

The file is either account.flb or account.srb, I forgot. And no, these are not
plaintext files.

I am not sure which is the file that holds the folder tree structure,
but I am sure it cannot be edited with a text editor.

When I added the account, it filled the account randomly from top to bottom. I
seem to remember there was a way to sort all the subfolders in one fell swoop,
rather than moving them around one at a time which is going to take for ever.

Right clicking on folders and using up, down, move in, move out is one way to
sort the account tree.

But I wonder if it is possible to edit a configuration file (but which one?)
with a text editor while The Bat is not running.

Or you can click on the folder in the accoutn tree and use shft-crtil with up
or down arrow to move it up or down within the account, or use left and right
arrow to move the folder out of and into accounts.

Sorting folders

2001-12-10 Thread wee David

I've looked for, and probably missed, the answer to how to sort
folders in the Users FAQ and the list archive.

Basically, I'd like to sort the folders so that the ones I use most
are at the top of the tree after the in, out, sent and trash. Is there
a way to do this?

Not sure if there is a sort command, but I know you can move any
folder where you want by holding down the alt key and the dragging the
folder to where you want it. Maybe that helps.

Sorting folders?

2001-04-29 Thread Topmail Mulmad

Hello TBUDL,

For my old mails I create an elaborate folder structure. When I add a
new sub-folder it is placed below existing.
Is there a way to sort these folders alphabetically?

Click on the folder column header. A prompt will appear asking you if you
wish to resort the folders. This will resort the folders, including
sub-folders in alphabetical order.
