After hours of trying things, I finally deleted the affected folder
and recreated with a different name, as using the same name just
"adopted" the problem again.

So, you think it has something to do with ALL MAIL?

I just wonder why only this one folder was affected, and was still
working fine the day before.

It was definitely TB causing the problem, not Gmail.
When TB was turned off, I could delete files from that folder just
fine in Gmail. The moment TB was turned back on, all the deleted mails
from that one folder popped right back in, on TB and Gmail.

Thanks!

I think I had this problem when I first set up the Imap acount, and
after days of searching, resolved it somehow.

If only I could remember what I did then... ;)

Just weird that only one of the folders went back to having this
problem (at least I hope the others won't follow!).

When I try and delete all the messages in the folder, I get this error
message from TB:
Cannot destroy task of TlmapCopyAction_RemoteToRemoteSameAccount

Yes it is an issue with IMAP and Gmail. The bat does not clean out the "ALL
MAIL" folder nor the spam folder. You have to access the web every so often and
clean it yourself. I reported it in bug tracker once but no one seemed worried
about it

Suddenly can't delete messages from one folder

2016-12-09 Thread Susanne
Hello,

about an hour ago, I noticed that messages deleted from one folder
would pop right back, instead of staying in the trash folder.

I suspect it has something to do with using Gmail/Imap, but can't
for my life figure out what could be going on and what could have
  changed.
