3.99.3 is very stable over here, both at home and in the office.

TB! Version 3.99.3

2007-09-17 Thread Simon
Hello TBUDL:

I have noticed that most people on this list seem to be using TB! version
3.99.2x or below, and not 3.99.3. Did I miss something? Is 3.99.3 not a
 particularly stable release?

Okay, I've had this release of TB! bottom out me a few times, annoyingly
wiping out account folders, but after a lot of poncing about I did
eventually recover them lurking within the email base.

Oh, and there's also a particularly strange issue when a notepad
replacement I use called Metapad is open at the same time as the Sorting
Office. Selecting text in Metapad and copying it whilst the Sorting Office
is open will TB! crash every time. Of course to get around this I use my
main text editor, Notetab, instead, so no big deal for me.

But apart from that, everything else seems hunky dory so far. But
should I be at all concerned about anything else?

Hello Simon,

I was running the same version as you prior to 3.99.24. It was
available from TB's website at one time but there must have been
issues with this release and is no longer available.

Yes, caught! Well you know you are correct of course. Don't know what I was
thinking actually. Well I do, because I intended to properly split one. ;-)

Yup! Indeed, I 'mistakenly' did, to split an infinitive also.

Yes, you're correct, I would have expected that.

Well no, it is no consolation really, but I have been enlightened, for which
I grateful :-)

Thanks for the pointer. :-)

I was relying on the 'Check For Update' menu option to work under TB! quite
honestly. So when the 'no updates available box' appeared I assumed that was
the case. Upon checking the website I find as you have said, that there is,
in fact, an update.

I shall download now. Thanks.
