Re[2]: View modes are not sticking

Make sure that under View/Global View Mode you have No View Mode. If
you have any other View Mode selected that will be what is used for
 all accounts.

Oh for goodness sake - it was that easy!

At last they are behaving - as far as usability goes TB's interface leaves
much to be desired I think.

What with font settings all over the place, view modes all over the place...

Thanks for the insight.

The best way to get them to stick is setting them in the properties
menu of the folder.

 No trouble here, so far.

What issues are you seeing and how are you setting/changing your view modes?

I have 'save' as view mode setting in Preferences.

I go to View Global View Mode Manage View Modes

I select the general view mode for most of my accounts (saved as Default)
and select all accounts in USe By.

I then select the threaded view mode and tick USe By for The Bat and CSS
Discuss.

I the select my ordered by sujbject for Junk and Trash

But when I go back in many of the 'General accoun t folders are in threaded
mode and sometimes it seems TB and CSS are in Default mode.

I have tried to see if there is a pattern byut I cannot see what it is.

In the Preferences, what do you have selected for the view modes option
 - mine is set to ask before applying/saving changes.

I have tried that but it doesn't seem to stick there either.

I am going to have to start from scratch and see if I can see any
consistency in what seems to be a misbehaviour.
