Indeed, I missed it ;) Sending mail should never be a problem, no
matter which address you supply as sender. This includes
hotmail.com. It may happen that some servers, freemailers among
others, refuse such mails because they did not originate from a
hotmail.com own server.

FastMail is great, and would be perfect if TheBat's IMAP support would
enhance, and Yahoo still sometimes support POP3 access (at least for
yahoo.de).

Cheers,

JP While this is generally an interesting suggestion, it won't help as
JP Hotmail does not provide POP3 access that Mercury could fetch for you

JP I'd as well recommend Web2POP.

I'm not sure what izzymail does, but I use web2pop to get my yahoo mail
into TB. web2pop has a database and plugins for over 1,000 different
webmail accounts.

R IzyMail also gets your webmail (Hotmail in my case) and puts it into TB!
R using POP3 (or you can use IMAP if you prefer) and it also lets you send
R mail using SMTP thru your webmail account.

I also use it for POP3 client and server, but you don't need to do that
if you don't want.
