This posting violated the list rules regarding top posting.

Top posting, i.e., typing all your reply text at the top of your
message and following it with all quoted text below, is not
encouraged and we actually request that you not do so on this list
because

a) It makes it difficult to glean context from what you typed at the
   top of the message

and

b) It encourages excessive quoting.

We would much prefer if you quote just that much of the message to
which you're replying, so we know what it is you're referring to,
and then below the quotation, type your response. If you're
responding to more than one part of the original, then quote each
part separately and follow each part with your response.

Now, I know that you may not personally prefer this format and that
you may disagree with some of the reasoning here. We very much
respect this. However, this is the format that most of the active
members here prefer and all members are expected, and are being
asked to use the format that will make most of the active membership
here comfortable reading. You'll likely get a more responsive group
when you post using a style that is comfortable for them to read and
understand.

Thank you.

last update from the bat website

2008-12-23 Thread tracer
Hello Tbudl,

I have at present a working v4 registered and all, BUT there seems to
be some thing wrong.
thebat_pro_4-0-38.msi I overwrote with thebat_pro_4-1-3.msi and the
result didn't have any executables on either desk-top or bat-directory.
Redownloadthebat_pro_4-0-38.msi and installing reproduced a
working Bat. I repeated it about 3 times with reboot in between with
same result. At present I am running with old version... but it
works!!
Main reason I put it back in working condition is that my son needs to
do some-thing for school and I just saw that office is in THAI...
Not much use if they screw it up! Anyway when his sister is back I
will have her sort him out... Still leaves the problem though that I
cannot upgrade the Bat to latest version without corruption.

Macro from Silverstones website

2005-12-31 Thread Paul Meathrel
Hi all,

I'm trying to use the following macro from the Silverstones website:

%SUBJECT=Re:%SETPATTREGEXP='(?i)\A(?::?\s*)%-
(?:(?:\s*(?:fwd|re|aw|fw|antwort|wg|forw)%-
(?:\[\d*\])?:\s*)|(?:\s*\[.*\]\s*))*%- (.*?)(?:(?:\s*\((?:was|war):.*\)\s*)|%-
(?:\((?:PGP|S/MIME) Decrypted\)))*\z'%- %REGEXPMATCH='%OSUBJ'

I've added it to my existing reply template, however when I hit reply on an
existing message with the subject Smiley the subject of my reply is set to
re: . In addition if I hit reply on a message with a subject Re[2]: Smileys
the subject is also set to Re: . This doesn't appear to be working in the way
that the website suggests, I was expected a subject of Re: Smileys on both
example. Am I doing anything wrong or is the macro incorrect?

It appears that if I remove the spaces from the macro above (which was copy

2002-05-03 Thread Jonathan Angliss

Hi All,

Just trying to remove the PGP Signs and everything from the emails
that keep being posted, and I remember seeing one on TB! support
pages. When I tried to use it, it generates an error saying that a )
is missing. The one on the site has :

%quotes='%SETPATTREGEXP=(?is)((\s*)?\n?-BEGIN PGP %-
SIGNED.*?\n(Hash:.*?\n)?\s*)?(.*?)(^(-*?\s*?--\s*\n|_{40,}\s*\n|-%-
BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE|\z)%-
%REGEXPBLINDMATCH=%text%SUBPATT=4'

(All on one line of course). The bracket is missing (I'm guessing)
from just after the 'SIGNATURE' bit. At least it appears to work on
mine anyway. Just thought I'd point that out ;)

I had this problem once before, go into internet options (if you are
using internet explorer) change the default client to something else
(Outlook?) hit ok. Now go back into internet options and change the
defaualt client back to The Bat!. Should work after that.

Hi there George,

Going back 03:16 01.04.2001. when you uttered the following thoughts:

ritlabs.com is not even resolving, which leaves nothing to trace.

"ritlabs.com" is not in the DNS, they've only entered
"www.ritlabs.com"

[jmp@lordaeron jmp]$ host -t A www.ritlabs.com
www.ritlabs.com has address 198.63.208.135
[jmp@lordaeron jmp]$ host -t A ritlabs.com

You're hitting the right address, right?

http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/
http://www.ritlabs.com/the_bat/beta.html

It could be a node between you and ritlabs.com. Try tracert (and
traceroute in a shell on a remote server if you have that option) and
see what it spits back.

The site seems to be working fine at this end.

Perhaps there's a problem with one of the connecting/intermediate servers
that connects you to the Ritlabs pages.

Maybe it's just too slow or something. If you're using an ISP, maybe a
little nudge might get some results. You can always use another
provider's DNS server, just edit your tcp/ip advanced configuration.
I've used alternate nameservers many times when mine are on the blink.
