dh Thanks. But what to do with lost common folders?

 try integrity check?

Been there, done that. Already when creating messages by filter did
not work. And just to be sure again now.

sounds like they need a CTRL-ALT-SHFT-L for common folders...BUG???

More kind of a bad-designed feature.

dh Create it new and physically move the original mails in?

Did this. Works now.
But I had to make my SPAM folder non-common.

Some featurewishes came into mind during this:
 - Filters that do not have to move a message!
This is very bad design. You can get around this by setting source
and dest folder to the same, but that does not help for shortcut
filters that can be envoked on every marked message. These will be
   forced to be moved somewhere.
 - Setting an outbox/account for created mails (mostly for common
   filters).
 - Manipulating a message's MEMO field as a filter action.

Comments? Or I will put them on my bugtracker list.

maintenance and troubleshooting.. bugtracker is a good start:)

Agreed. Moving messages should be under the Actions Tab in the
Sorting Office. The present situation is very confusing, especially
with Read messages filtering.
