There ís a message, I think.
When connecting to the server, one of the accounts shows 1/1 , but no
message is retrieved. That is the reason I wanted to open the message
dispatcher.

Send a message to that account so there is at least one new message
and try again.

Very clever! Now, why didn't I think of that?
It worked, but there were indeed 2 messages there, so I still wonder why
the dispatcher box did not want to stay on screen when there was only one
message there...

Thanks, though. I like things neat and tidy.

No, it doesn't. While Allie's reply is absolutely correct, IMHO it's
bad GUI design.

s I haven't really used many of the shortcuts and didn't know nor
s realize this was the case. Great approach.

I disagree. I have been quiet about the GUI design for a few years,
because I just don't have the time to make a complete suggestion how
it could be improved. shortcuts need to be consistent, and a Shortcut
Editor under the View menu keeps buggling my mind every time I use it.

mail dispatcher fails

2004-07-29 Thread A.Translator
Shift + Ctrl + F12 used to bring up the dispatch mail window.
Now the window sort of pops up and then disappears again. It won't stay put
long enough for me to use the panel.

I cannot be sure, but I think this happens since version 2.12.00

Is this a bug or has something changed?

I'm not sure about what is supposed to happen, since I never used the
dispatcher.
But when I press CtrlShiftF2 (not F12) The dispatcher and the
CC are opened and they don't close before I kill them. I'm using the
2.12.03 beta, but that shouldn't matter.

It is supposed to pop up and stay put, just like any other window or what
you call it ;-) You do shft + Ctrl + S and the filter window / box appears.
It does not fly over the screen, it stays there till you close it.

The dispatcher no longer plays ball: it pops up and dies straight away.

I just checked it and if there is a message on the server it pops up

Did the key combo change for the Mail Dispatcher? I activate it using

email window (the email message I'm creating right now), TB gives me
an informational message that I don't have ... an OpenPGP private

Some of the shortcuts work contextually, i.e., they have different
functions depending on the window you're in.

In the main Window, Shift+CTRL+S brings up the 'S'orting
Office/Filters panel.

In the editor, Shift+Ctrl+S 's'igns the message using OpenPGP.

In the main window CTRL+Enter generates a reply message.

In the editor CTRL+Enter sends the message.

There are other contextual shortcuts like these.
