memo auto-view dissapearing

Hi all, if i , in the viewmenu tick memo autoview ,this setting is lost after restarting. If this is a bug ,would there be a way to manually alter the registry? Thank you in advance Linda using Windows 2000 THEBATVERSION 1.52.f --
