you got it! I don't remember ever changing that, and I thought it always
was Microsoft CryptoAPI. but when I changed it to internal, BAM! there
was the cert button! thanks!

In the S/MIME Preferences dialog do you have "Internal Implementation"
selected? The Certificates button is not available for me if I select
"Microsoft CryptoAPI".

Hi Paul,

I'm not looking at my TB! at the moment, but I wonder if this *could*
have something to do with it...

In your preferences, do you have S/MIME enabled? I don't know if that
being enabled or disabled should make any difference in the options
available to you...it's just a wild guess.

it might be the issue, but you would think that reinstalling a complete
package would fix it. For the beta, all I do is copy over the TheBat.exe
file, so all my settings should stay...

I am using Windows XP but an earlier version of TB than you are, and
my certificates button appears as it should. Your sig still suggests
that you are using a TB beta, so perhaps that is still the issue.

oh, I didn't mention that I already tried to re-install the last

so it might be a beat issue, but even using a known release I don't have
one.

Maybe it is an XP issue. It works OK here on Win98SE. But it is
certainly a beta issue, so you should ask on TBBETA... ;-)

no certificate button

2003-11-26 Thread Paul Cartwright
when I check the properties for any account, under the general tab
should be 2 buttons ( on the right). one for vcard, the other for
certificates. I only have one button, for the vcard, I don't have a
button to add or modify certificates ( like my thawte certs..)
any idea how to fix this??
