Looks like I was guilty of it as well. In my defence it was waaay too
late in the evening to be posting anywhere. My apologies.

This is just a shot in the dark but did you try adjusting your screen
resolution or screen font? I don't know what version of Windows
you're running but you should be able to right-click on a blank part
of the desktop and get a screen resolution menu up.

I had display problems with TB! a while back and it was all because I
had my screen resolution messed up. I was trying to get the screen
font bigger and was successful but it messed up the way TB! displayed
things.

As I said, a shot in the dark.

There are no scroll bars on the Preferences window and the option panes do not
fully display.

Mine is non-resizeable as well. But most of the options panes are
fully displayed, and those that do not fit have scroll bars.

Apart from Jack's suggestion to try re-installing TB!, maybe you could
tweak a windows display setting about font sizes, or maybe there is
something in the TB! registry entry.

If this had happened to me the first thing I would do is re-install
TB! If that didn't work I'd write to this list and ask for help just
as you're doing.

Sorry I can't offer more.

Preferences window won't enlarge

2014-03-08 Thread Michael S. Greenbaum

Since re-installing The Bat! (v. 4.2.44.2) after having had to re-install
Windows 7, when I go to Options|Preferences, the window that comes up is a
small square window (maybe 15-20 lines long) that won't allow me to enlarge it
or change it in any way. It, appears to be frozen.

I want to change some of the General preferences, but when I click on that,
only about half of the page shows, and there's no way to click OK after I
change a preference (the one on animation, for example).

How can I get the Preferences window to display correctly so that I can see the
full page?

I'm sending this as plain text, and I have no idea how to make it word wrap.

Thanks for any help.
