Hi Andre,

in mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] said to tbudl:

AW So %AbToName does nothing at all. Could someone please explain
AW why that is

Because any changes to the To address (including initial
assignment) are no longer completed until the entire reply template
is processed in V2.

AW and how to fix it?

Use %AbOFromName instead.

AW This seems to no longer work in v2. While it should return something
AW like

AW So %AbToName does nothing at all. Could someone please explain why that
AW is and how to fix it?

The moment some macros are interpreted has been changed in v2.
Your observations point out the possibility that the %ABToName macro
is being executed after %To='' and as such is let loose upon an empty
To:-header.
A workaround would be %ABOToName

MDP Use %AbOFromName instead.

Wouldn't that give the name of the original poster, so Andre would get
something like 'Name on Name list-address', while he wanted something
like 'Name on Listname list-address'

Maybe. Perhaps that was too simplistic.

I personally use this for lists:

%REM='List TO replacement macro by Marck'%-
%_addr='%ABOFROMNamePrefix(%ABOFROMHandle(%ABOFROMName(%OFROMNAME)))%-
 on %ABOREPLYHANDLE(%ABOREPLYFIRSTNAME) %OREPLYADDR'%-
%TO=''%TO='%_addr'%-

Let me assure you that to us here at First National,
you're not just a number. You're two numbers,
a dash, three more numbers, another dash and another number.
