Checking only every 30 minutes would cause problems in business. Apart from the
fact that it means I receive tens of emails each time and suddenly have to get
very busy, this new bunch of emails will also include a few reminders for
non-replies: I receive an urgent enquiry now, it may already be 29 minutes old.
I write my reply but the next mail check is in another, say, 28 minutes.
They will received my reply almost an hour after their urgent email - in my
business, that was OK 10 years ago but not today any more.

Why would you think that it is not a good idea to check more often than every
30 minutes? Is there a technical reason? Kindly advise, thanks.

Please pardon me for butting in but may I ask why you shouldn't do a fetch more
frequently than every 30 minutes? I had to set my TB to do a fetch every 5
minutes because at the time, I needed to know as soon as a particular email came
in. That was over a year ago and I never changed it back to manual fetch. So far
no problems.

TIA

Just activate Options, Periodical checking for the e-mail accounts, but
probably not a good idea more often than every 30 minutes.

Thanks, Thomas - that's a good and workable idea!

I have set each account in TB! to check and send mail every 10 minutes. This
way, if the internet is down it fails, and if the internet is up again, it
receives and sends emails.

Account / Properties / Options / [X] Periodical check every [10] minutes
