Re: Remind later - how does that work?
Admin at AK @ 5/09/2006 3:26:51 PM Remind later - how does that work? mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] If I go to the Specials menu and use remind later, then tick, say, 'Next Week', I get a window with a number of selections I just don't get (as in understand) at all. If I just want TB to pop up next week and say 'Look at this message - you wanted to be reminded about it' - type of thing - which of the tick boxes do I need to have ticked. Unchecking the box Open the messages only it complies with following conditions (Yes, that's what it says), will unconditionally show you the message in a week. The checkboxes below that allow you to have it automatically disable the reminder if you remember to get to the message on your own (for example, replying to it). -- Chris Quoting when replying to this message is good for you and me. Marten Gallagher @ 5/09/2006 4:30:12 PM Remind later - how does that work? mid:[EMAIL PROTECTED] And what then does 'Start this action only when notification is confirmed' mean? Do you want it to open the message or do you want it to display a notification dialog first (i.e., a dialog saying something along the lines of You wanted me to remind you about this message. Here is you reminder.) -- Chris Quoting when replying to this message is good for you and me. Using The Bat! v3.80.03 on Windows XP 5.1 Build 2600 Service Pack 2. Accessing a POP3 mailbox. Hello Peter, On Friday, March 31, 2006, 12:14:06 AM, which was 11:31:28 AM where I am, you wrote: I have a VF folder but how do I direct the flagged mail to the VF folder within an account? Is that part of the filtering, if so how can I do it for all folders (account) simultaneously? Marten You will only have one Virtual Folder that you would call @flagged' Marten probably. Marten Then right click on the folder name, select properties and click the FILTER Marten tab. Marten Click Use Fast Search and then Fast Search Types: Flagged. Marten Probably you want AUTO-REFRESH ticked as well Marten I also have Store State Between Sessions ticked - can't remember why Marten though. PK Thanks for your help. I made a mistake by mixing up Folder with Tab. PK (I had a Virtual tab tried to get copies of flagged messages in but PK naturally it didn't work.). PK One more question: if I finished with this item, should I remove the PK flag in the Flagged folder and this would take care of it? PK I understand that if I delete the message in the flagged folder the PK original will go too. Is this so? I understood the original question to be about flagging messages, so that they get answered within a specific time frame. For my part, I click on Reply, save the unfinished message in the Outbox, and wait till I get time to reply. What am I missing with Virtual Folders? -- Regards, Maurice Using The Bat! 3.65.03 on Windows XP Pro 5.1 2600 Service Pack 2 Current version is 3.71.03 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html

Hello Marten Gallagher everyone else, on 30-Mrz-2006 at 22:47 you (Marten Gallagher) wrote: I also have Store State Between Sessions ticked - can't remember why though. TB remembers the contents of the VF that way when you start/end and restart the program. When the option is unticked, the VFs index will be rebuilt each time you start the program (depending on the number of VFs this may take some time). When the option is ticked the VFs may not be up to date sometimes. In that case, you can manually update the index of a VF when you highlight its name in the folder list and press ESC. -- Best regards, Alexander (http://www.neurowerx.de - ICQ 238153981) Look not mournfully into the past.
