Glad to hear it worked :-)

The MAIL directory, aside normally including the accounts directories,
includes a number of files for 'system' (not account specific)
configurations, options, preferences, customization, etc., and some of
them are updated every time TBV is run. That's why TB 'complained',
because it could not access those file in A.

I don't have an answer for this one, sorry, because I never moved my TB
from one computer to another.

I believe it would have, with no change to individual account properties
required. I know that would have been the case on the version 4 that
I've been using.

To MOVE the folders, you should have used "cut" rather than "copy."
However, I prefer to use copy myself in such critical situations, and
wait to remove the no-longer-needed data until I've confirmed that
everything still works.

Hi, Miguel,

That's it! The setting in options/Preference/System/Mail directory points to
\\Desktop A\c\MAIL\

Changing the location fixed the problem! This, however, leaves me with a few
questions:

1. If the e-mail client and data files are on "B", but
Options/Preferences/System points to "A," how is what is on "A" being
functionally used?

2. When in Options/Preferences/System on B and pointed to the data directory on
B, a pop-up dialogue box listed all the data files on A, including so-called
"cache" files I don't even see on A and asked if I wanted to overwrite the
files on B and if so, to highlight the file and then tap the space bar for each
file on A that I wanted to overwrite on B. Since the most current files were
on B, I didn't do this. However, is this an easy way to copy data files from
one computer to another? When I moved the data files to B, I copied and
pasted the files over our home network from A to B and then changed the
properties for each account. Would this have been done automatically just by
changing the location in Options/Preferences/System?And, if so, does that
MOVE the files from A to B or does it just COPY them from A to B?

Thanks, again, Miguel, for your help!

I am not sure if this may be the cause but, what is your setting in
Options/Preferences/System/Mail directory?
