 How do I stop this?

can not confirm, quoted text is not spelled here in 4.0.18.6.

BTW please add Your OS version and computer configuration to signature,
manytimes issues are OS or its version related.

Could you also tell me how I get that MS at the start of each line

I haven't found this to be a frequent problem, in fact I am not sure that

distinguishing between British and American spelling. If you are meaning

Certainly it sometimes doesn't know some of the words that I use, but this
is a problem common to all abridged versions of a dictionary, and because of
the immense size of the English vocabulary most English dictionaries are of
necessity abridged to some degree.

*I* am quite happy to 'Add' my spelling version to the supplementary

Doing an RTFM.

· Intelligent suggestions for misspelled words - SSCE can locate suggested
replacements using either typographical (looks like) or phonetic (sounds
like) matching. Suggestions are scored by the degree of closeness to the
misspelled word, and the list of suggestions is returned in decreasing score
order. The most commonly misspelled words are underlined by square-wave-line
and can be corrected with a right mouse button double-click on such words.

The key here is commonly misspelt words, 'teh' is a common misspelling
whilst 'clickingb' is not.

Hello,

Is it possible to change the colour of the underline misspelled words?
See, the background colour of my editor is black and the red
underlining colour does not stand out.

JA If you notice, some misspelled words are underlined with triangular
JA waves, and others with square waves. If you double right click on the
JA square wave words, then they change. This is a plus and a minus. It
JA is a plus when you intentionally want to misspell a word, like in your
JA example above. It has the obvious disadvantage that it is not
JA intuitive. This is especially true if one is used to MS Word's
JA implementation of "autocorrection."

TB! is smart enough to remove properly formed sigs so the

What constitutes a "properly formed sig"? The spell checker doesn't
