I wouldn't say that large size is necessarily a result of OOo. Don't be too
quick to dismiss a product because of one person's experience. OOo has a lot
going for it and many organizations are using it exclusively and successfully.

This is probably more a function of Distiller settings.
Just for laughs, I took the 22Mb source document
I most recently completed and made test PDFs with
Distiller set at its default smallest and press
settings and the PDF sizes were 1.3Mb and 8Mb
respectively. Then I used the lossless test
Yeah, Donna can still do both printing and posting, but she'll need two
different versions of the PDF, which might require her to track two
different part numbers.
And the small letter o stands for .org .
