Suggestion: add a new option for chown(1)/chmod(1)

I'm wondering if it would be generally useful to add a new option to both chown(1) and chmod(1) to prevent a recursive change (with the -R option) from traversing across mount points, similar to the -x option available in find(1)? I'd suggest using -x, since that's what find uses. Comments?
