Does the embosser have any kind of human-readable
responses to any input you could give it? or can you do anything
to it to cause it to generate any output you could read with a
terminal program?

Hello Martin
All I can tell you for sure is that the embosser works. We've been wracking our
collective brains for a while to find a way to test the port out; but as we
have no other serial devices it's somewhat difficult.

Hello Mary
The problem is I think that we're not downloading using Windows. Therefore the
site isn't detecting the Windows browser.
I'll try again shortly.

Hi Chris
Ah, right, well that's the end of that one then. We don't use the automatic
locations, preferring to keep things more logically organised.

Hi Chris
I honestly don't know about the Windows version. If you say it's accessible,
that's good enough for me. As for making movies on the Mac, yes - that would
be a logical recourse. I just wanted to know if it was possible under Windows
so that I had so means of capturing both what I am

Is the bundled Movie Maker that comes with Windows not accessible? How about

Hi all
Anybody happen to have tried one of these beasties with Windows 7? I'm asking
because we're trying to get our Braille embosser to function and, although the
serial port shows up as present, no matter what I do I can't get any joy from
the embosser. We're using an Index Everest DS, or s
Hi all
OK, this has my curiosity. I'm not sure whether there's a webcam built into
our little NetBook or not. I would be surprised if there is, to be utterly
honest. Nevertheless here's my question. Is there an accessible movie making
application that comes bundled with Windows 7 Ultimate?
Hello Mary
Thank you very much for the confirmation; and thank you Chris H for the
information. That's why this list is here and it's a pleasure to start
receiving helpful input from members again.

Yes, Lynne, it usually has an option where it will either place it in a
