** Senior Level Unix/Linux Systems Administrator to join a dynamic fast paced team. We need an energetic individual who wants to be on a team that is at the cutting edge of Unix/Linux technologies supporting a growing online business. We employ a wide range of technologies from blade servers to large SMP servers with a wide range of operating systems including Solaris, AIX and Linux, multiple clustering technologies and SAN and NAS storage. We are seeking an individual who can work independently with little to no supervision, can make a contribution to a diverse technical team and wants to grow with new technologies. *PRIMARY OBJECTIVES* Participate on a team supporting a SOLARIS / Linux environment running on SUN Sparc/x86 and x86 based Linux hardware. Primary responsibilities include building and supporting servers from an operating system perspective, managing disk allocation and managing various business unit software environments. Must be proficient in Solaris 9-10, and Redhat 5.x or SUSE 10. Senior Systems Engineers must be able to manage project work, exhibiting strong time and project management skills. In addition, a Senior Systems Engineer will assist in architecting technical solutions and both participate on and lead project teams. *REQUIREMENTS* *Education * *- *BA, BS or AA or Equivalent work experience plus 5-7 years experience in related work *Knowledge and Skills* - Required - Must have strong knowledge of Solaris 9 and 10 operating system - Must have strong knowledge on Redhat or SUSE. - Experience with SSH, Kickstart servers, LDAP. - Can require weekend work and Pager rotation. - Can work as a team member to achieve project goals. - Very strong documentation and communication skills - Experience with Veritas volume manager. - Must have working knowledge of network (LAN/WAN) technologies and UNIX system management tools - Adept at researching technology solutions with all available resources - Proven analytical and trouble shooting skills - Utilize change management systems and maintenance windows to achieve highly available enterprise systems - Ability to set scope and deliver quality result *Knowledge and Skills* - Desireable - Understanding of storage technologies - Knowledge of UNIX server hardware components - Experience with Legato - Experience in supporting systems running Oracle and Oracle RAC systems. *Previous Experience* - Preferable 5+ years of Operating System experience - Preferable 3+ years of direct customer service experience -- Thanks & Regards Naveen Veeravalli | US Tech Solutions | Email ID: nav...@ustechsolutionsinc.com | URL: www.ustechsolutionsinc.com |
