I was able to build current tesseract code with mingwmsys (but in xp mode on windows 7 and was not clear install). I will have a look on this later. In meantime can you provided version information about autotools, gcc etc? BTW: /autogen.sh did exists in your instalation. But ./autogen.sh yes ;-)
