I have done a few kernel updates of Fedora 18 without
major incident until today.
This time the BIOS boot order was changed to point to sda
instead of sdf where Fedora 18 resides. I noticed when I
discovered that the reboot after yum update dumped me
into Fedora 16, which couldn't talk to the
I reinstalled XP on the test machine, then installed F16 64 bit
along with it. I then installed 64 bit F16 and copied the whole
XP partition to a disk file. Then I rebooted to XP and all
was well.
Finally I installed RC1 64 bit. Now XP fails with BSOD.
