Re: toolbox not working after upgrade to 40

Despite 6 other bugs being classified as a duplicate of this one, the bug has not received a lot of attention since September 2023. The original poster makes the point this breakage happens "in very common conditions". It is frustrating when there are 3 proposed solutions, with one of them being standout one, that it hasn't progressed to a solution. -- Ian Laurie FAS: nixuser | IRC: nixuser TZ: Australia/Sydney -- ___ test mailing list -- test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to test-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
YubiKey and GPG observations for Fedora Silverblue 40 beta
1. YubiKey is still not released by Fedora after boot when the YubiKey is inserted at the time of boot up with the result that `gpg --card-status` fails (a problem from Fedora Silverblue 39). `systemctl restart pcscd' is still needed to get `gpg --card-status` to recognise the YubiKey. Windows does not do this. 2. `~/.gnupg/scdaemon.conf` setup by user in Fedora 39 seems to be gone in Fedora 40? Pinentry errors in Kleopatra are emitted in Fedora 40 even when `gpg --card-status` is fine, requiring re-creation of the `scdaemon.conf` file with the entry 'reader-port Yubico Yubi` and a reboot (after which Kleopatra is back to normal). see (https://support.yubico.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013714479-Troubleshooting-Issues-with-GPG) Fedora 40 beta is very impressive overall! -- ___ test mailing list -- test@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to test-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/test@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue

[Now Playing] Toolbx Test Day 2024-03-27
Hey Folks, Toolbx is now a blocker and pre-installed app for Fedora Workstation. The advent of Podman 5[0] can have a few complications with Toolbx's primary deliverables and workflow. To ensure a smooth transition, we are inviting testers to install latest version of Toolbx and Podman 5 in F40 and report issues[1]. The wiki[2] has all the necessary details.
