2023-12-12 Thread Kevin Fenzi
Could it be something like
https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/registration-difficulties-on-chat-fedoraproject-org/39072/52

TLDR: matrix is supposed to show you a 'agreement' thing when you first
login to accept, somehow for this other user it got in a weird state
where they were not able to accept it or do anything else because it
wanted them to accept first.

If thats the case, I can ask our matirx contacts to fix your account.

I suppose also you could make a new account and try with it to confirm
you get the agreement and things work with it?

Re: [Test-Announce] 2023-12-11 @ 16:00 UTC - Fedora QA Meeting

2023-12-12 Thread pmkellly
I tried everything I could think of to do. Element starts wanting you to
set an account. I did that and it was happy. The next step is to find your
friends or groups. I didn't know what the group was. I searched for
"Fedora" and I found some things, but I couldn't join any of them. are
their any services I need to enable or other settings required.

In the web browser I could login using may FAS credentials and I could see
everything that was being said, but when I clicked the join I was told to
read the documents. I did that, but their wasn't any way to acknowledge
that I read them and it wouldn't let me join. I tried a few time always
with the same result. Are their any settings I should check?

I'm not sure what the problem was, but I was using Element (the flatpak

Greetings testers! It's time for the last QA meeting of the year!

We're going to try moving back to Fedora Chat (Matrix) for this
meeting, as the bot should be working there now. Remember, the IRC
bridge is out of commission, so you'll really have to be on Matrix to
join the meeting. You can log in with your Fedora account.

If anyone has any other items for the agenda, please reply to this
email and suggest them! Thanks.
